Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Start the city tour with a visit to the Independence Palace, the former presidential headquarters during the war era. Continue to the Central Post Office, a beautiful colonial structure with intricate bas-reliefs. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a Catholic church built during the French colonial period.
In the afternoon, explore the War Remnants Museum, which presents a comprehensive view of the conflict in Vietnam through documents, photographs, and international responses. If time permits, stroll through Ben Thanh Market to experience daily local life. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, transfer to Tay Ninh to visit the Cao Dai Temple, known for its striking architecture and vibrant noon ceremony.
After a lunch break (on your own), visit the Cu Chi Tunnels - an extensive underground network built during wartime. Explore sections of the tunnels and gain insight into local resilience during the conflict.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Ben Tre. Take a boat trip on the Ben Tre River, a branch of the Mekong. Observe lively riverside activities and stop at a traditional brick kiln.
Cruise along Cai Son Canal, lined with coconut trees. Visit a coconut workshop and see each step of coconut processing. Stop by a coconut candy workshop, taste the local sweets, enjoy fresh fruits, and listen to southern folk music.
Take a tuk-tuk ride through coconut groves, then board a rowing boat along a peaceful canal shaded by palm trees. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Ben Tre.
After breakfast, transfer to Cho Lach and Tra Vinh, with a stop at a bonsai garden. Cross the Mekong River by ferry and arrive at Cau Ke village, a Khmer settlement in Tra Vinh. Check in at homestay.
Enjoy lunch at the homestay, followed by a bike ride through Ba Mi village. Visit home gardens, meet local farmers, and explore a nearby cathedral and Khmer pagoda. Return to the homestay for dinner and overnight. (Note: motorbikes are available for guests who cannot ride a bicycle.)
Begin the morning with a bike ride through nursery fields and visit several Khmer villages. Continue by car to Huynh Ky’s historic house, which features a mix of Eastern and Western architecture. Proceed to Sa Dec to visit Kien An Cung Pagoda and Huynh Thuy Le’s house, famously tied to Marguerite Duras\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' novel The Lover. Stroll through the lively Sa Dec market, rich in tropical produce. Continue the journey to Long Xuyen with stops at a Cao Dai Temple and a crocodile farm. Overnight in Long Xuyen.
In the morning, explore the floating market and river life of Long Xuyen, a lesser-known yet vibrant riverside community.
Afterward, drive to Rach Gia (approx. 2.5 hours), then board a speedboat (approx. 2 hours 10 minutes) to Phu Quoc Island. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Free time to relax on the beach. Overnight in Phu Quoc.Spend your days enjoying the beach or discovering the island at your own pace. Optional activities include snorkeling, visiting fishing villages, pepper farms, or exploring Phu Quoc National Park.
