Morning – Departure from Hue
Depart Hue by car for a one-hour drive to Bach Ma National Park. Upon arrival, stop at the Visitor Centre to learn about the park’s remarkable biodiversity before continuing with a 17 km scenic uphill drive.
First Hike – Five Lakes Trail (1.5 km)
Begin your adventure along the Ngu Ho (Five Lakes) trail, descending through lush forest paths. Your guide will provide safety support (poncho, gloves, rope) where needed. Pause at Tortoise Lake, the most picturesque natural pool, for relaxation and a gourmet picnic lunch amidst the forest’s tranquillity.
Second Hike – Rhododendron Waterfall
Follow the medicinal plant trail to Do Quyen Waterfall, where you can admire its dramatic beauty and even enjoy a refreshing swim. This is also an opportunity to practice “forest bathing,” letting nature’s energy recharge your spirit.
Afternoon – Hai Vong Dai Summit (1,450 m ASL)
Return to the main road for a transfer to Hai Vong Dai Summit. Climb a short stairway to sweeping panoramic views of Tam Giang Lagoon, Lang Co Beach, and the East Sea. Explore remnants of French colonial villas and a wartime helicopter base before heading back to your car for the return journey to Hue, arriving in the late afternoon.
