We will begin by picking you up from your hotel in Hanoi before heading to Ninh Binh, a stunning area in the Red River delta known for its waterways and spectacular limestone formations rising from rice fields. Our first stop is the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, recently recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Here, you will board a small rowing boat (sampan) and drift along peaceful rivers framed by dramatic mountains and lush greenery. The boat tour will take you through a series of mysterious caves including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou, offering an enchanting glimpse of Ninh Binh’s “Halong Bay on land.”
In the afternoon, we visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, exploring temples dedicated to Emperors Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh, who shaped this historic citadel spanning over 3 square kilometers. Later, you’ll check into your hotel to relax and unwind. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Start your morning breathing in the fresh countryside air and enjoying breakfast before hopping on a bicycle to explore the tranquil paths weaving between towering limestone mountains, peaceful waterways, small villages, and vibrant rice paddies dotted with historic sites like Bich Dong Pagoda. Next, we continue to Mua Cave, also known as Dancing Cave, where a climb of over a hundred steps rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Tam Coc landscape and the winding Ngo Dong River below.
